Meet the full academic spectrum of Leiden-Delft-Erasmus Universities

Meet the full academic spectrum of Leiden-Delft-Erasmus Universities. With three top universities, Leiden University, Delft University of Technology and Erasmus University Rotterdam, Zuid Holland has representations of nearly all scientific disciplines, including medicine and technology, in-house.

This offer is on the increase because the three universities will be collaborating more intensively in the coming years. Good news for ambitious students who would like to take extra courses at another faculty. This will be presented by offering broader LDE programs as well as by making each other's minors and subjects accessible.

Students and staff of the three universities meet

From the Leiden-Delft-Erasmus Universities,  graduates emerge who possess knowledge outside their own fields and are used to collaborating with other disciplines. Engineers who understand how a doctor makes decisions. Archaeologists can put themselves in the shoes of a lawyer. Economists who work with ecologists on solutions for a sustainable society. Leiden-Delft-Erasmus is: acquainting yourself with each other's fields, framework and methods, to step forward and work together to create new insights and approaches.

From African Dynamics to Technical Medicine

The exchange of ideas and development of new ideas arises from programmes like the Master Industrial Ecology, bachelor Clinical Technology, minor African Dynamics and many more Leiden-Delft-Erasmus programmes. Our programmes tackle issues that play a role in society, now and in the future, and require a multidisciplinary approach. They provide platforms for lectures, practicals and workgroups where students and staff from the three universities meet.

Anchored in society, with international appeal

With its three universities and two university medical centres, Zuid-Holland has a long tradition of scientific education and is strongly anchored in society. Leiden as the oldest university, TU Delft and Erasmus University Rotterdam were originally driven by practical necessity and entrepreneurship. All three are very attractive to students, in the Netherlands and worldwide, who opt for the highest level of academic education. That position is even stronger together, especially with the accessibility to each other's subjects.

Education campaign

This spring, we will be showing examples of Leiden-Delft-Erasmus education through our social media campaign. Follow us on Twitter and LinkedIn and join the discussion about the importance of collaboration and the added value of multidisciplinary education.
