How circular is The Hague?
Join the datahackathon Urban Metabolism from the Leiden-Delft-Erasmus Centre for Sustainability - 12 October 2018
The Leiden-Delft-Erasmus Centre for Sustainability is going to build a dashboard for the The Hague which gives insights in how the city deals with resources and waste. Firstly the Leiden-Delft-Erasmus Centre for Sustainability will focus on construction materials, biomassa and critical materials. It aims to answer questions like:
- How much construction material is imported in The Hague?
- How do we use these materials, where and in what buildings?
- What kind of waste streams do we have?
- What kind of critical materials are used in The Hague?
- How much is recycled and how much ends up in waste streams?
Visualisation of data by building a platform
To answer these questions a lot of data will be collected. Visualisation of these data gives an insight in the circularity of the material streams. That's why the Leiden-Delft-Erasmus Centre for Sustainability wants to build a dataplatform. The Metabolism of Cities-organization is experienced in building this platform and will help with this project in The Hague.
