This autumn, the Leiden-Delft-Erasmus Centre Governance of Migration and Diversity will start a new course for professionals: 'Perspectives on the Migration Society'.
The course responds to an urgent need from society. Current events require more scientifically based expertise for politicians, councillors, administrators and policy officers who have to shape the migration society, at municipalities, provinces, ministries, NGOs and other organisations.
Leiden-Delft-Erasmus Universities
In a unique collaboration between Leiden University, Erasmus University Rotterdam and TU Delft, we offer space to share knowledge, experience and perspectives on the opportunities and challenges of working in the migration society.
The themes in this course include (labour) migration, refugees, inclusion, living together and discrimination. The centre has built up a great deal of expertise in this area in recent years, thanks to the knowledge sharing of professors and researchers in public administration, law, sociology, architecture, political science and history in Leiden, The Hague, Delft and Rotterdam.
Shaping the migration society
Are you responsible for shaping the migration society within a municipality, province, ministry, NGO or other organization and do you want to reflect, exchange experiences and gain theoretical knowledge? Then this course is very suitable for you.

Peter Scholten, professor at Erasmus University Rotterdam and director of the Leiden-Delft-Erasmus Centre Governance of Migration and Diversity: 'We want to make up-to-date research and knowledge accessible to professionals with an eye for their specific needs.'
Through the course 'Perspectives on the Migration Society' you can gain knowledge in a compact and practical way.
'As a director or policy officer, you want to make a difference, but there is often not enough time for a full academic education. Through the course 'Perspectives on the Migration Society' you can gain knowledge in a compact and practical way and discuss the dilemmas that you encounter in daily practice together with colleagues and researchers.'
Program
The course consists of eight meetings, in the period at the end of October 2025 and June 2026. These take place partly on location at one of the Leiden-Delft-Erasmus universities and partly online.
In order to ensure an intensive and constructive exchange between the participants, the maximum number of registrations is limited to 25. Admission is in order of registration, so please register on time for this unique course. You can register until October 15, 2025 using the form below.
