Past Lessons and Future Pathways for International Development Cooperation
On 16 April 2026 we welcome you to a joint LDE Global-ISS-NICC event in The Hague. This gathering brings together colleagues from across the globe to share updates, inspire each other, and strengthen our collaboration within the LDE Global community.
As international cooperation is in crisis, it is in need of a rebirth. Within the Dutch context, understanding its initial conception and the lessons learned can inform future pathways.
Based on Opheffers - a new publication by Professor Wim van den Doel (Dean Leiden-Delft-Erasmus Universities) - this event looks back to the early start of Dutch international cooperation.
The book presentation by Van den Doel will be followed by an open discussion with Professor Dirk-Jan Koch, Anne-Lot Hoek, PhD and Daphina Misiedjan, PhD about what lessons can be learned and how to identify ways forward for the future of international cooperation.
Thursday 16 April 2026, 15:30 - 17:00
