With the Repair Coalition, we are guests at Milieupark and Circular Craft Centre De HER, the place for passing on and reusing in Rotterdam. Here, we will present the outcomes of the Repair Lab. You are welcome to join the ‘Council of Repair’. The programme is in Dutch; the presentation of the Repair Lab will be in English.
On Friday, the 3rd of July, there will be an XL edition of Coffee, Croissants & Repair! For everyone involved in the repair. And for anyone who wants to see more action taken to promote repair. Whether you’ve been before or it’s your first time, this is an event you won’t want to miss!
The Repair Coalition aims to bring small initiatives together to form a large movement. Businesses are experimenting with refurbishment. Governments are seeking new infrastructures. Research institutions are investigating how repair can be scaled up. And more and more organisations are discovering that extending the lifespan of products is not only sustainable, but also economically viable.
During the fifth edition of Coffee, Croissants & Repair, we’re bringing this movement together at the HER in Rotterdam. This is the edition where it becomes clear how repair is scaling up in the Netherlands and increasingly becoming part of policy, services, and new business models. What’s more, we’re celebrating the Right to Repair, which comes into force on 1 July, and the coming summer.
That is why this morning will be dedicated to one central question: How do we move from isolated initiatives towards a mission-driven repair economy?
During this morning’s session, you will not only learn where the greatest opportunities lie, but you will also meet the people and organisations actively shaping the next phase of the repair sector in the Netherlands. Featuring, among others:
- Students from the RepairLab present their research.
- Ahrend on circularity, refurbishment and repair as part of future-proof service provision
- Final results from the Repair Factory: which business models make it feasible to repair products costing up to €100?
- Feedback on the proposal in the Manifesto for Accessible Electronics Repair for Everyone — in collaboration with Natuur & Milieu — to the House of Representatives Committee on the Circular Economy on 2 July
- New encounters, unexpected introductions and conversations with people actively building the repair economy. Over coffee, croissants and other good ideas
Coffee, Croissants & Repair is a quarterly event organised by the Repair Coalition: a growing network of organisations, businesses, public authorities, educational institutions and makers working together to scale up repair in the Netherlands.
