Bachelor Clinical Technology

Sophisticated scans and custom 3D printed artificial organs. Medical technology has become an essential part of healthcare. However, these innovative treatments require a new kind of medical professional. Someone with medical and technical knowledge that bridges the gap between technology and the patient.

This training at the interface of medicine and technology is the first fully joint bachelor of TU Delft, Leiden University and Erasmus University Rotterdam, plus the Leiden University Medical Centre and the Erasmus MC. Education is up to college level multidisciplinary: thermodynamics combined into one lesson with digestive organs and mechanics with the musculoskeletal system, says Professor Frans van der Helm in this movie of his inaugural lecture as Professor of Medical Delta.

With the start of the academic year 2014-2015 the first students started the bachelor Clinical Technology.
